Write for a cause


ART FOR A CAUSE
                                             

                             HOSPITALS
     
     The artists send donations of books and art displays to the Child Life Program at the New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Pennsylvania, based on The Art of Trees Bloomington, Indiana: AuthorHouse Publishing Company, U.S.A. 2007.
                                 
                       REMEMBRANCE OF SEPTEMBER 11

      In black and white, Joseph DiEdwardo’s mixed media work explores memories of 9/11. His piece was on exhibit in a NYC gallery January 2 thorugh February 1, 2003 at the New Century Artists Inc. 530 west 25th street, Suite 406, New York, NY.

                             UNIVERSITIES

      Dr. DiEdwardo also supports the Lehigh University English Department with proceeds from her book The Legacy of Katharine Hepburn, Fine Art As A Way of Life Bloomington, Indiana: AuthorHouse Publishing Company, U.S.A. 2006.  In The Promise of Penn State, Maryann, Patti and Joe, three artists, exhibit January 2008 at the Pennsylvania State University Lehigh Valley campus.
                                           
                        ENVIRONMENT
     Maryann donates multiple works to Lehigh University.  Her environmental eco-critical works depict Millbrook Marsh Nature Center, 614 Puddintown Road, College Township, State College, PA 16801 www.MyMillbrookMarsh.org  A White Mountain painter, Dr. DiEdwardo supports fine art as a doorway  to learning through her landscapes. In her work entitled “Mount Washington” she employs framing elements such as trees that lead the eye into depth.
                                   
             THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY

     Prolific artists and writers, Maryann Pasda DiEdwardo B.A., M.A., Ed.D. and Patricia J. Pasda, B.F.A., M.F.A. write and produce illustrations for Pennsylvania Voices I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII which are a series of fiction and non-fiction works with Joe DiEdwardo as design consultant. Books support The American Cancer Society. By 2009, a total of twenty books will be published for the national press market in varied techniques of creative non-fiction and fiction support art and writing as therapy, memoir, causes of safe pastures, education of youth through horse camps, history of appaloosa, historical memoir of Pennsylvania residents, history of Lenni Lenape, equine therapy for humans, historical memoir based upon history of the Nez Perce, and elderly horse care, also for The Appaloosa Horse Club and the International Association for Great Lakes Research. The Passing Light, American Book Publishing, 2010, is our book to transform poverty.
